graduation trip.

Traveled to a very vibrant city of kota kinabalu sabah for 5 days. stayed over at a small town village for 2 days and enjoyed myself so much with my best friend of 9 years. all along, we've been planning to have a simple yet memorable trip to mark the end of our tertiary education together. so here you go. our very much anticipated trip.

i guess for the both of us, it is the first time for everything. from all the bookings to traveling by ourselves. for a start, i think we weren't that bad. we didn't get lost and thank god we reached the hotel safely at around 12am in the morning.

    in 950 to woodlands checkpoint!

reached kota raya and purchased the shuttle bus ticket to senai! yay

by then when we reached senai. it was already around 8-ish and perut satu-satu dah buat concert. so we had our dinner at marrybown!

and here's our cheap receipt air ticket. lol

and so here we are at the kota kinabalu international airport toilet!!
and then, finally, we settled in the hotel. yay!! 4/4 mission of the first day is completed.

to jesselton point for our sea activities on the second day. we went for island hopping for snorkeling and oh god, the beach view was magnificent!! and the plus point was that, i managed to swim with the fishes and touched the corals! we managed to just hop to two island because by the time we reached manukan island , we were already so tired!

heading to pulau mamutik and it was just the both of us in the speed boat.

next,we hopped to the manukan island! another beautiful island. just that there were'nt alot of fishes as compared to the one at mamutik. so we spend most of the time there walking around and snap pictures and video-ing ourselves doing silly stuffs.

ice creaammmmm.

and while narisah went to snorkel, i stayed on the shore because i didnt want to get wet again.

head back to jesselton point!
very cool telephone booth that we saw!
back to the hotel. and then dinner time!!

look at the beautiful sunset!!!-Jaw drop!!-
ayam bakar tasted so damn yummy and spicy!! and the one on the plate are satay!! so damn huge!

on the third day as planned. we head down to a village which was located miles away from kota kinabalu. we managed to find a mini van on the spot to get us there.

this was one of the biggest and the nicest mosque which we didn't get to visit.

after a two hour plus journey on the bumpy roads, finally, we reached the village of kundasang and the weather was so bloody cold because we are up here at the mountain!!

the place we will be staying over for the next 3 days is full of cats and the first person to die is me and the next person to suffer with me is narisah.. because i refused to get out from the cabin!!

the door to our cabin :)

and of course , all these pictures were taken before i knew and i saw the cats around.

so we were lazying around and thinking how do will we survive this 3 days without a tv. all we could do was Just to rely on the wifi which we steal the whole time! and on that very night, we talk about all the random things, sharing our family life story, our love life till i doze off and then i dont know what narisah did till 1am. haha.

the next day at kundasang, we went around touring the whole village and got ourselves a driver whom we over paid him. but whatever. haha! first we went to the desa cattle to see the moo moo.

the milking process will only start at 3and so we went off to other places first.

the driver brought us to a very nice nursey where we the beautiful plants and flowers are planted.

next was to the mount kinabalu view!! the view was so magnificent that we cant stop wow-ing

mr driver is a such a pro driver. i think everyone whom drives at the village are all experts, because the roads in kundasang is not as smooth and as straight like those in singapore. very rocky, very small, very steep but our driver can still drive through very well.

then we went to the pine resort to see the rabbits. not a lover for animals. so smelly and the rabbits are all so fat!!!

then we stopped by the vegetable market at the side of the road to buy some keropoks to bring home..

we then suggested to the driver to bring us to any vegetables plantation to kill time and so, here we go...

along the way, our car passed the waterfall!!!

here we are...

we went back to the desa cattle because we wanted to watch the milking process which only starts at 3. so the whole time while waiting. we could smell and see the cows shitting and all. yucks

the cows got into their own "cubicles" damn smart

went back to our cabin with no electricity and no wifi. we've got nothing to do... and this is what happen. played around with the funny apps which i had in my phone and which i never tried using it before. lol
the cafe near our cabin was closed.. so we had to survive the night with instant noodles for dinner. boohoo

five days passed too fast. The last day, we have to set off very early because we were worried there wouldnt be any bus to take us back to kota kinabalu. but phewww, we got into a taxi which we paid 20RM  back to KK. i loved my stay over at kundasang. friendly and humble villagers, breath taking views. everyone there were like families. they dont have any public busses or trains to move around. There's only one school which was located near the "town" area . they will hop into any vehicles which drive pass their houses to their destinations. the mini van which narisah and i took to the "town" area, we squeezed in with 3 families with little kids, they were all strangers but they talked to each other like as if theyre relatives. and the kids there are all so cute!!!

reached k.k earlier than expected. we had our bruch at the prata shop beside our hotel and then we went back all the way to the handicraft place with our heavy backpacks to get more souvenier..
cab down to the airport beause we didnt know where else we could go and we were already so tired...

reached the airport at 2 when our flight is at 5...

my bestfriend cant live without a roller and i think i got the disease from her already

the long que at the passenger serivce counter. everyone were restless
including us. we had no idea when will the next flight will arrive because ours got delayed.
waited for an hour plus.. and we finally got ourselves into the plane. weehee

and so, we safely landed back home!!!! that was how my graduation trip went. this could be so called our stepping stone to travel  around by ourselves. insyallah, more adventurous trip in the future. YAY!!
